LEVENIA BLEDSOE

Levenia Bledsoe, age 88, of New Grove, departed this life Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Signature Healthcare of Hart County. The Edmonson County native was born August 22, 1934, to the late Paul and Lola Doyle Cassady. She was married to her devoted husband, Noah Bledsoe, who preceded her in death on July 15, 2017.

She retired after working for many years as a sales associate for J.C. Penney. She was a member of New Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

She leaves to honor her memory, her family that she adored– her children. Dennis Bledsoe (Sandy) of New Grove, Judy Houchin (Keith) of Shadyland, and Deborah Booker (Ronnie) of New Grove; seven grandchildren, Chris Houchin, Beth Coates (David), Julie Richardson, Lee Anne Bledsoe (Blake Briscoe), Todd Browning, Dee Rosado (Eric), and Devon Bledsoe (Jessie); bonus grandchild, Marci Booker Roney (Jeremy); ten great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two siblings, Jimmy Cassady (Beatrice) of Lindseyville and Wanda Douglas (Bill) of New Grove.  She was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Shelby Richardson, and siblings, J.E. and Leroy Cassady, and Lois Hennion.

Interment will be in Smiths Grove Cemetery.

VISITATION: 2—7 PM, Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Patton Funeral Home Brownsville Chapel and 10 AM—2 PM Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at New Grove Missionary Baptist Church
