Since 196Trooper Island Kid’s Camp by the Kentucky State Police (KSP) has helped underprivileged kids from across the Commonwealth to have enriched experiences through the camp.
The Kentucky State Police continuously find new and creative ways to raise money for Trooper Island, and this month golfers will have an opportunity to have fun and help Trooper Island at the same time.
The Trooper Island Golf Scramble presented by Post 3 will be held Friday, September 16. Registration is 8 AM, and tee time is 9 AM. Individuals have a $60 entry fee, while teams have a $240 entry fee.
“The money from the event benefits Trooper Island and under served youth from this area,” said Daniel Priddy of KSP.
“Trooper Island makes it possible for families to offer this to their children free of charge. The golf scramble is a great event, and it goes to a great cause. Touches a lot of children’s lives and they get to participate in things they might not otherwise get to, like fishing and kayaking.”
For golfers, lunch, drinks, a commemorative T-shirt, and a golf cart are included in the price. First, second, and third place prizes will be awarded, along with door prizes.
Anyone with questions can call Tracey Scharber at KSP Post 3.
