ERNEST AUSTIN MILLER

GLASGOW – Earnest Austin Miller, 79, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Glasgow on July 22, 1943, to the late George Miller and Dissie Walden Miller. Early in his life, he worked as a Security Guard at several businesses in Louisville. Earnest was a true handyman, and he went on to be a carpenter and painter his whole life. He attended the Gethsemane Baptist church.

Survivors include his wife, whom he married July 31, 2017, Shelby Miller of Glasgow; two daughters, Melissa Spann (Ricky) of Glasgow, and Kimberly Mullins (Mike) of Brownsville; stepdaughters, Nicole Stephens (Jeremy) of Smiths Grove, and Cora Jean Stinson (Weldo) of Uno; ten grandchildren, to include, Alissa Byrd (Darien), Robert Spann (Julie), and Cody Spann all of Glasgow. Several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Belinda Thomas Esters Miller; three brothers, James, Jay Harold, and Johnny Miller; sister, Clarine Smith.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm and Saturday morning until the time for the service. A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Miller.
