“Sometimes the shortest stories are the most beautiful.”
Carsyn Drew Tucker brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. As a way to honor her memory, her family established The Smile at Me Foundation to continue Carsyn’s legacy of smiles and joy.
To benefit the foundation, this year the Tucker family will host the first annual Carsyn’s Carnival & Cruise ‘N on May 28 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Cave City Convention Center.
“At the event, there will be inflatables, carnival games, craft and clothing vendors, face painting, food vendors, and a Cruise ‘N,” said Leia Tucker, mom of Carsyn. “Children are encouraged to bring their own power wheels to participate in a power wheel parade also.
Carsyn’s Carnival & Cruise ‘N is free to enter. However, tickets will be sold for the carnival games and inflatables. Love offerings will also be taken up throughout the day for those who wish to make a donation.
When Carsyn moved to Heaven, her family was determined that her memory would live on.
“Carsyn loved to play and was very excited about starting preschool,” Leia said. “Carsyn’s foundation was established to help in the development and/or advancement of preschool playgrounds, strongly believing children learn through play. The money raised from this event will go directly to The Smile at Me Foundation in helping preschools in need.”
Carsyn’s family feels beyond blessed and thankful that there are so many people who are already helping to make Carsyn’s Carnival & Cruise ‘N a successful event.
“Remembering one’s child is the most beautiful gift you can give to a grieving parent,” Leia said. “Our family wants Carsyn remembered in a way that brings joy and laughter to others, especially children.”
Again, Carsyn’s Carnival & Cruise ‘N will be held on May 28 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Cave City Convention Center. In the event of inclement weather, vendors and games will be set up inside the convention center.
Volunteers are also needed for the event. Those interested in volunteering may contact Leia Tucker to sign-up. For anyone who would like to support The Smile at Me Foundation, donations can be dropped off at South Central Bank in Cave City or contact Leia Tucker. Smile at Me Foundation shirts can be purchased from Leia as well.
