On the evening of March 3, on the birthday of Dr. Seuss, children and kids at heart gathered at MCES to celebrate literacy.
This year’s theme was “under the big top”, and there was a lot of clowning around to prove it. The festivities of Family Literacy Night included book bingo, grade-level activities, a book walk, and taping Principal Michael Gill to the wall.
In addition, all week long literacy was celebrated with reading, a book fair, dressing up every day, and honor of the love of books.
