Joshua Evan Bruce

EDMONTON – Joshua Evan Bruce, 35, of Metcalfe County, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021, after a short illness. Josh was born in Yuma, Arizona, and moved to Kentucky as a young child. He was an amazing husband to Brittany, father to his seven children, friend to many.

He served in the Army as a Bradley mechanic and his most recent career was being a truck driver. His favorite hobbies were fishing and hunting. He knew no stranger and made a friend with everyone who came across his path. He would help anyone in need, no matter his circumstances.

He is survived by his wife, Brittany, and his seven children who were the loves of his life; his parents, Wes and Kathy Bruce; his brother, Justin (Natalie) Bruce; and sister, Becca (Alex) Taylor; his grandparents, Charles and Maxine Bankard, Judith Miller, and Robert and Donna Blevins; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all his family, friends, and trucker family.

There will be a private memorial service at the convenience of the family. A public memorial service will be held at the Old School Cafe located on Stockton Street in Edmonton at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022. This will be a potluck with the main course provided.

The family would like to thank everyone who has donated either monetarily through the various platforms. Josh was not much for flowers so the family requests no flowers/plants. If you would like to make a contribution, there’s a GoFundMe on Facebook under his brother Justin Bruce. There is also a raffle at Hawk’s Deli & Gun Shop of a rifle in Josh’s memory.
