On Tuesday, January 4th, Hart County High School FFA members hosted a Kelly Green Day to honor Cathy Murray in her battle against cancer.
Cathy is the wife of Hart County High School Agriculture teacher Shaun Murray, who has been with the school district for over 25 years.
The Raiders hosted the North Hardin Trojans that night, so the Kelly green could be spotted throughout the gym. Cheerleaders and ballplayers wore shirts to honor Cathy, and the pep section all wore green.
“Kelly Green is Cathy’s favorite color,” said Assistant Principal Tracy Sims. “Cathy shared her favorite Bible verse (Acts 20:24), which was placed on the front of the shirt to help encourage people to embrace the storms of life and completely trust in the Lord through rough times. Shaun and Cathy have been so appreciative of all of the gifts, words of encouragement, and prayer. They were truly moved by the outpouring of support shown through the Kelly Green Day and night.”
