The Barren County Historical Society will present a lecture on the life of Howard Scott Magers, a Barren County man who perished at Pearl Harbor. The event will be held on August 28 at 11 a.m., at the South Central Kentucky Cultural Center in Glasgow. Paula Ratliff will be the speaker.

Paula L. Ratliff is a Jobe Contributing author and local resident who coordinated Magers’ recent homecoming. His homecoming was one, if not the largest, event ever held in Merry Oaks, Kentucky.
