Savannah Maddox is the Answer to Beshear’s Authoritarian Overreach By Dennis “DJ” Buschman
On December 10th, 2019, Governor Andy Beshear took an oath to uphold the Kentucky and United States Constitutions. All who take this oath have a duty to basically read, understand and execute their daily tasks with this oath in mind. He has unilaterally failed in this respect. Governor Beshear violated the sacred Kentucky Bill of Rights that states:
First instance: Rights of life, liberty, worship, pursuit of safety and happiness, free speech, acquiring and protecting property, peaceable assembly, redress of grievances, bearing arms.
He has sought to stie the speech, liberties, and worship of the citizens of Kentucky.
Second instance: The right of worshipping Almighty God according to the dictates of their consciences.
He ordered churches throughout this Commonwealth closed and had the Kentucky State Police intimidate church goers on Easter Sunday.
Third instance: Absolute and arbitrary power denied. Absolute and arbitrary power over the lives, liberty and property of freemen exists nowhere in a republic, not even in the largest majority.
The Governor acted as a King while crying out the word emergency.
The Governor violated the “spirit” of this oath to the Kentucky Constitution by failing to convene the General Assembly to a special session during the declared state of emergency. Our government is a republican form of democracy (a representative democracy), which calls for the co-equal powers of the three branches: legislative, executive, and judicial. If the governor were truly faithful to his oath, he would have called the General Assembly into session in good faith to hear from “We the People” of our Commonwealth.
Personally, I contacted my State Representative Richard White and State Senator Steve West countless times to express my grievances regarding Governor Beshear’s tyrannical lockdowns, closures
and mandates. I was pleasantly surprised when I communicated these same grievances with Representative Savannah Maddox, who made clear her intent to address the Governor’s overreach head on. She was not bound to do that, however, this exemplies her level of care and commitment to the great people of this Commonwealth.
It is with this in mind that Representative Maddox MUST be encouraged to run for Governor for this Commonwealth in 2023. She has a strong record of not only supporting good, decent and moral values but she leads by example! It is clear and obvious that she is well educated on the ratied intent of our Constitution. She is not afraid to confront, and stand respectfully, against the radical left in this country or commonwealth, who have hijacked our academic institutions, and nor is she unwilling to stand up to the Kentucky Democratic Party. Lastly, it is clear that she is NOT part of the Kentucky GOP establishment.
Like many of our Founding Fathers, the following elected leaders are willing to step forward and ght for Liberty. Savannah Maddox is in the company of elected leaders such as: Rand Paul, Thomas Massie, Ron DeSantis, and Kristi Noem. This is what the GOP must return to and this is why we need Savannah Maddox as the next governor of Kentucky.
