JENNIFER RENEAU CARDWELL
GLASGOW – Jennifer Reneau Cardwell, age 58, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. Born November 8, 1962, in Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Billy Reneau and Peggy Kingrey Cain, who survives. She was the widow of the late Joe E Cardwell.
She worked as a social worker and was a 48-year member of Union #2 Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday school. She was president of Ramblers Square Dancing Club, a member of Eastern Star, and served her community.
Survivors include one daughter, Desire’ (Kevin) Davis, Bowling Green; mother, Peggy (special friend, James Chenault) Kingrey Cain; two step-sons, Mike Cardwell, Madison, IN, and Joe Cardwell Jr, Bowling Green; one sister, Mary Lee (Willie) England, Glasgow; one brother, Robin Reneau, Summer Shade; one grandchild, Devin Davis; three step-grandchildren, Tyler, Jared, and Haylee Cardwell; one step-great-grandchild, Charlotte Cardwell; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death besides her husband and father, by her step-father, Tim Lee Cain, and grandparents, Stanley and Edna Reneau, and Reverend Delbert and Vinnie Garrett Kingrey.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at Union #2 Baptist Church, with Brother Ricky Holland officiating. Burial will follow in the Union #2 Cemetery. A walk through visitation will be Friday, March 19, 2021, 2:00-8:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home and on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Union #2 church after 10:00 A.M. until time of services at 2:00.
Social distancing is encouraged and masks are required. Memorials may be made to the Union #2 Cemetery. McMurtrey Funeral Home is assisting the family.
