WENDELL STEPHENS
EDMONTON – Wendell Stephens, 86, passed away Friday, February 19th, 2021, at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton. Born August 9, 1934, in Metcalfe County he was the son of the late Henry and Mamie Stephens. Wendell attended school in Metcalfe County and afterward served in the United States Army. Wendell was employed by the Department of Fish and Wildlife as Conservation Officer in Metcalfe and surrounding counties, from which he retired after 25 years of service. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Amy Beth Harris Stephens; and two brothers, Anglie and Marshall Stephens.
Wendell is survived by his wife, Misti Mosher Fields Stephens; one son, Larry and wife Laurie Stephens; two stepsons, Nathan and wife Micah Fields, BJ and wife Kayce all of Edmonton; six grandchildren, Amelia (Chris) Ferguson, Rebekah (Mike) Parrino, Quentin (Stephanie) Stephens, Raylee, Parker, and Gracelyn Fields; four great-grandchildren, Brooks and Collin Parrino, Raelynn and Kinsley Stephens.
Funeral services for Wendell Stephens will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton, with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. A walk-through visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
