CAVE CITY – Alice Sue Gibson, 80, formally of Edmonton, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020, at her residence. She was born in Cofer, Kentucky on March 2, 1940, to the late Birch and Lela Shives Hurt. Alice was a homemaker and attended Revenna Separate Baptist Church.
Survivors include her loving husband, Kenneth Gibson; two sons, Keith Gibson (Kim) of Glasgow, Kentucky and Kevin Gibson (Jennifer) of Edmonton, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Kaleigh Gibson of Glasgow, Kentucky, Ethan Gibson (Alison) of Lexington, Kentucky, Alex Gibson of Bowling Green, Kentucky; one great-grandchild due in January, Olivia Gibson; one sister, Betty Lou Robertson (Don) of Glasgow, Kentucky; and one brother, L.D. Hurt (Bettie Jean) of Fairmont, Indiana.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven sisters, Juanita Garmon, Peggy Burnell, Imogene Ross, Earlene Marsh, Bobbie Coomer, Jewell England, Pearl Fudge; and four brothers, Frank Hurt, F.D. Hurt, Lewis Hurt, and Billy Hurt.
A private funeral service for Mrs. Gibson will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, December 11, 2020, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
