EDMONTON – Jack Demsey Acree, age 88, passed away November 3, 2020, at NHC Healthcare. He was an Army veteran and served in Germany. Jack was the second child born to the late Ledford Morris Acree and Laura Harper Acree of Edmonton.

Jack married Kitty Sue Compton also of Edmonton who survives. Together they had two children who survive Peter (Ann) Acree of Summer Shade, and Jill (Paul) Harper of Edmonton; eight grandchildren; twenty great-; and one great great-great-grandchild; one sister, Meriel Bunch of Edmonton; and special caregivers; Son Peter Acree, Michelle Hamilton, and Deana Dyer.

A private family funeral service will be held Thursday, November 5, 2020, at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Foundation Cemetery near Edmonton. A walkthrough visitation will be held Thursday, November 5, 2020, from 11:00 am till time for the funeral at 1:00 pm.

Face masks are required, temperatures will be taken and no food or drink will be allowed in the funeral home. Everyone must social distance.
