CHARLIE KENNETH SMITH
EDMONTON – Charlie Kenneth Smith, age 78, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020, at home surrounded by his family. Charlie was the son of the late Howard Preston and Beatrice Evelyn Syra Smith. Charlie was of the Baptist faith and attended the Trinity Christian Outreach Church.
He is survived by one sister and two brothers, Lola Curry of Edmonton, Lewis Underwood “Wood” Smith and wife Betty of Edmonton, and Leroy Smith of Tompkinsville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Russell Smith, and three nephews, David Harris, Jeff Smith, and Mike Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, June 22, 2020, limited to immediate family only at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Joe Fields Cemetery.
Due to the current Covid-19 crisis, the funeral will be limited and a walk through visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, and after 9:00 AM Sunday and Monday.
