The Metcalfe County Public Library and Heather Shaw of the Extension Office have teamed up again this summer to teach kids that cooking can be fun.
This year’s program is called Cooking with the Cat, named for UK extension’s healthy mascot, Wally the Cat.
At the first session last Wednesday the kids received aprons and made fruit kabobs.
Shaw also discussed the importance of cleanliness and good safety with the aid of a game of “sink the germs”.
For more information contact the library.
