FORREST LEE DEVORE
KNOB LICK – Forrest Lee Devore, age 80, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 19, 2019, surrounded by his loving family at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. Born in the Wisdom community he was the son of the late Paul and Maxine Irwin Devore. Forrest Lee was a farmer and retired from the United States Postal Service after delivering mail for fifty years. He was a faithful member and deacon of the New Liberty Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Sherry Lee Devore of Knob Lick; one son, Brooke (Lisa) Devore of Knob Lick; two daughters, Marla (Fred) Young of Edmonton and Robyn (Mike) Mantooth of Columbia; eight grandchildren: Savannah (Joe) Neal, Rachel Young, Audrey Young, Hannah Devore, Gabby Devore, Colt Devore, Olivia Mantooth, and Sadie Mantooth; and two great-grandchildren, Lilly Jo and Trace Neal. He is also survived by one brother and two sisters: Charles Page of Knob Lick, Phala Sue Blaydes of Greensburg, and Paula Devore of Seymour, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and after 9:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
