MARY JOYCE ENNIS
EDMONTON – Mary Joyce Ennis, age 82, left this world peacefully June 13, 2019, at TJ Samson Community Hospital. She was born October 11, 1936, in Metcalfe County, to the late Willie Lee and Clara (James) Pedigo. She was united in marriage to Milton Keith Ennis (deceased) on February 5, 1955. They were married for 61 years.
Joyce was a devoted Christian. She loved attending church and was a member at Pleasant Hill Church of Christ. She enjoyed fishing, playing pitch, traveling, camping, watching game shows, and owning and operating “Trapper’s Fur Shed” gun shop with her husband.
She is survived by two children: Debra “Debbie” Francis (Samuel) of Incline Village, Nevada and Jeffery “Jeff” Ennis (Julie) of Summer Shade, Kentucky; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren: Krista Ennis Harlan (Daniel), Anna Kate and Ava of Summer Shade, Kentucky; Travis Ennis (Cecilee), Layken, Tatum, and Remi of Summer Shade, Kentucky; and April Francis Green (Joey), Joseph and Ashley of Venice, Florida.
In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by brothers: James Floyd Pedigo, Roland Pedigo, Kenneth Pedigo, and infant Billy Joe Pedigo; sister, Lougene Pedigo DeVore Reece; and a grandson, Samuel Aaron Francis.
Funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2019, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
