It is undeniable that there is something intriguing and refreshing about the start of a new year. Closely examined, January 1st isn’t greatly unlike any other day, but for the way we humans think of it.
Even so, it is a chance to reset the clock and start anew. If goals form the former year did no get accomplished, it is a second chance. If new opportunities come your way, it’s a chance to make the best of it.
We don’t yet know what 2019 will hold for Metcalfe County. With newly elected official at the helm, I am sure everyone has expectations.
One thing I hope to see happen in the completion of the new fitness center discussed in 2018.
As formerly described, the facility would be similar to a YMCA. Having such a facility available would be a great asset to our place on the map.
It is no secret that rural communities with limited access to well-equipped and affordable fitness options, as well as grocery stores with healthier options, struggle when it comes to health and wellness.
Having such a place would help people of all ages form healthier living habits, and nothing can enrich a community more, in an era where people have come to realize that health is true wealth.
What do you all hope to see in 2019?
