The community turned out in a big way for the Moon family on Saturday, December 15, 2018. Walden’s BBQ was the site of a small benefit for Joey Moon who was injured in an ATV accident on November 17, 2018 to help with his medical expenses and travel. There were T-Shirts, bracelets and tickets for a 4 camera security system raffle available for purchase. Tina Walden donated the proceeds from the food purchased on Saturday to the family also.
Joey and his wife, Whitney ventured out on Saturday to watch a ballgame at the 5/6 Center. Betty Hawks, Joey’s mother wants to thank the community for all their support and prayers during his hospital stay and during his ongoing recovery. Betty said,” He is doing good but has a long road ahead, so please continue to remember him.”
Patrick and Amanda Lyons, long time friends of Joey’s was at Walden’s to help organize the benefit and thank people for stopping by.
There will be a larger benefit held sometime in 2019, so look for the dates. The raffle tickets, T-Shirts and bracelets are still available on line at Prayers for Joey Moon Facebook page.
