Elvera Mullen McCoy, 86, of Louisville

Elvera Mullen McCoy, 86, of Louisville, Ky. passed away on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018. She was born in Lewisburg, Ky. on Mar. 7, 1932  to the late Herbert and Lizzie Whitaker Mullen.  She was a member of Sandy Creek Missionary Baptist Church, retired from General Electric in Owensboro, worked at Lakeview and cleaned houses. She enjoyed quilting, reading books and taking care of her flowers.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Mayburn McCoy and brother John Henry Mullen.

Elvera is survived by her sons Wade McCoy and Shawn; daughter Thu Lam and grandson Long Huyng all of Louisville and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 1pm (CST) on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at Sandy Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 1098 Sandy Creek Rd., Morgantown, Ky. 42261 with Bro. Wayne Stewart officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sandy Creek Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 4:30pm-8pm (CST) at Smith Funeral Home, 403 N. Main St., Morgantown, Ky. 42261 and Wednesday from 10am (CST) until time of service at Sandy Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
