Jacob’s Home Furnishings opening

While surrounded by family and the community, Zack Jacobs did the honors by cutting the ribbon at the ceremony held by the Chamber of Commerce on Nov. 2.  The new location of Jacob’s Home Furnishings opened with a steady stream of customers all day.

With tears in his eyes Jeff Jacobs thanked everyone for their support over the years for their businesses and family.  “We really appreciate it all more than you will know and we can’t say thank you enough by letting us work with what we dreamed of doing, we won’t let you down, we’ll take care of you when you do business with us.”

Edmonson County Chamber of Commerce Director, Rhonda Clemmons said, “we are so thrilled to have an Edmonson County business revitalize an old store front that has been sitting empty into a nice complement for the community, Jacob’s Home Furnishings is certainly an asset to the community and it allows everyone to shop right here at home.”

The grand opening of the new location was held Nov. 3, with free hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch.  Customers had a chance to win a new living room suite while there.

The new location of the Home Furnishings is in the old Dollar General Store front at 1400 Hwy 259 in Brownsville directly across from Laura’s Restaurant their other family owned business.
