The Hoss Foundation’s Fall Radio Auction was held on October 29th and 30th. The auction as changed to two nights this year unlike prior years of three. Metcalfe County School volunteers worked the phones while others took to the radio to announce.

Local businesses, community members, and individuals donated 126 items for the auction. All for a good cause, the area’s children. The items were displayed live on SCRTC Channel 95 so everyone could view them as the bids rolled in.

The Hoss Foundation was founded in 2014 and is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing funds for clothing, shoes, and other necessities. The clothing etc. is distributed through the Family Resource and Youth Services Centers in the Metcalfe County School System.

The organization is run by volunteers, David & Vikki Froggett at 99.1 The Hoss, and Chris Huffman, President of The Hoss Foundation. They would like to thank everyone who donated, submitted bids, or volunteered their time for the children of Metcalfe County.

This year’s auction raised a total of $8,267 with $6,282 of that from sales and $1,985 from cash donations.
