Healthy Harvest

On October 13, despite the chilly weather the Healthy Harvest Festival at the Brownsville Community Center, sponsored by Anthem Medicaid & Healthy Communities Coalition was held.  Information was available about the Medicaid Program and how to sign up during open enrollment.

Activities included pony rides, face painting, crafts, food contests and games.  There were booths set up inside and out for everyone to enjoy.  Not many residents ventured out but the ones that did had a good time visiting the booths and registering for giveaways.  The kids made their own personalized crafts for Halloween.  The Humane Society Booth was set up to let people know about the services available to Edmonson County residents.

The pie baking contest was won by Barbara Spillman and the best crock pot full of chili was won by Gena Yoakum.  There were also two bikes given away and they went to Madelynn Miller and Makenzie Vincent.
