Fall Festival

Paw Patrol’s Skye was anxious to play the fishing game.
There was plenty for all ages to enjoy at the Morgantown Community Church Festival on Oct. 21. The fun-filled experience took from 4-6 p.m. on Main Street in Morgantown. It took several community-minded individuals to help pull off the event for families. Some of the things offered to the public were carnival-style games (duck pond, tic tac toe, go fish, and a snack-cake walk). The meal for the evening was hot dogs and chips or the choice of chili and pumpkin pie. As an added bonus, the chili and pies were prepared by local cooks who participated in the cook off competitions.
Church goers said they prepared an estimated 400 hot dogs for the function. Almost all were gone by end of the two-hour gathering. The festival used to be held on site at Morgantown Community Church, but the congregation opted to move the celebration to in town. Finishing out the evening was a trunk or treat for the children. All in all it was a worthwhile event that everyone seemed to really enjoy.
