Jupin graduates

Officer Tamara Jupin received her certificate from Alex Payne, DOCJT Commissioner, and another staff member.

Tamara Meredith Jupin graduated from the Department of Criminal Justice Training Academy in Richmond, Kentucky on August 3, after 23 weeks of law enforcement basic training for her role as an officer for Brownsville Police Department.   

She was born and raised in Edmonson County and is the daughter of Craig Meredith of Bee Spring and Jennifer Tucker of Jetson.  Jupin joined the department in July 2017 and left for her training on February 12 of this year.  She said, “it has been a long 23 weeks away from my family, but I am ready and excited to start my career as the first female city police officer in Brownsville.   

Officer Jupin wants to continue to make the City of Brownsville and Edmonson County a safe place to raise a family and make it better for all residents.
