School shopping, make plans to attend

The date is set for the upcoming Back to School Bash in Morgantown. On Aug. 2, from 4 to 6 p.m., students along with their families will be able to shop the School Supply Store at the Eva J. Hawes Building. Students registered with the Butler County School system are eligible for the service. The Morgantown Mission Summer Splash Pool and Dinner Party will take place after the shopping experience, from 6-8 p.m. at the Morgantown City Pool. Organizers for the annual affair are the Family Resource Center, Youth Service Center and Morgantown Mission.

Butler County Family Resource Center Coordinator Melissa Glass explained, “This year the BC FRYSC school supply store will be set up in the Eva Hawes Building. Students will be able to shop for free school supplies. Vendors will be set up along the entrance and they will have giveaways for students also. Students must be present and registered for the 2018-19 school year to shop. The Morgantown Mission will host the dinner and pool party.”
