Musical melodies – Music at the Mural

The Music at the Mural is a popular tourist spot during the warmer months. Many attend and participate in the event.
The season opener for Music at the Mural was well attended. Over 20 local musicians and vocalists participated. This proves that the ongoing musical celebration is off to a great start for the upcoming summer months.

Ace Hankins, a big fan of Michael Jackson, performed for the audience.
Some of the benefits of the gathering include; free admission to the public, an opportunity for the new talent showcase their skills, vendors to sell and promote their goods, families to spend time together, and a leisure opportunity close to home.
Organizer Rachel Johnson is pleased with the participation from the neighboring residents. Sippin’ Soul Sisters sold fruit tea and chocolate cake in a cup and Pelilire Sisters sold tacos and nachos to the crowd.
“We even had a special guest dancer, Ace Hankins, who was
“Michael Jackson” for the evening,” she said. “We had an amazing turnout and we’re looking forward to June 15.”
