Morgantown is continuing to prosper
Morgantown Mayor Billy Phelps was the guest speaker for the April 26 Morgantown – Butler County Chamber of Commerce Luncheon. Some of the things he shared with the group were about renovations being made to City Hall, upgrades being discussed for the city park, grant possibilities, accreditation being sought by the Morgantown Police Department, and many more positive things taking place for the City of Morgantown.
Butler County Arts Guild members Roger Givens and Karen Harper-Lain were in attendance, letting everyone know about the many upcoming events for the organization.
Charles Roman is a talented writer and local columnist for the Butler County Banner. He can frequently be seen supporting Chamber functions.
Chamber Board President Deanna Embry spoke about the many great things that the Chamber group is doing in the county. All of the activities involve partnerships with local businesses. One of their most recent ventures was delivering roses to businesses in honor of Administrative Professionals Day.
