BRADLEY Dr. Bonnie C., widow of the late Dr. Eugene Bradford Bradley, died at age 79 on April 1, 2017 after a long illness. After meeting at Georgetown College, they married in June, 1958 after she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music. Her parents were the late James Clyde and Reland Cottrell Cave of Munfordville. She is survived by a sister, Elouise Weber of Munfordville, and by her two children, Mr. Richard Eugene Bradley and Dr. Ann Linnette Bradley, both of Lexington. As a wife, mother, homemaker, and music teacher, she lived in the generosity of helping those she loved. Her husband’s Ph.D. acknowledgements credit her for the encouragement that made his work possible, and later in life she earned a Master of Arts degree in Music (1969) and a Ph.D. in Music History (1986) from the University of Kentucky. Her gift of communication was as obvious in her succinct research writings as it was in the perfect pitch of her music, and she developed both to a level that represented the excellency of Christ in her life. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and her other interests included art, Spring wildflowers and gardening, antiques and history, genealogy, and ballroom dancing. She shared all these life-celebrating activities with her family, and kept her husband’s memory alive throughout her final years. We trust that God took her from us for the right reasons at the right time, and are sure that her complete healing in Heaven is worth all the grief we feel. Visitation was Wednesday, April 5 at Milward Southland and Thursday, April 6 at Sego Funeral Home. Funeral services were held 2:00 pm Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Sego Funeral Home, Munfordville, with burial in the Munfordville Municipal Cemetery.
