“If you missed seeing the movie, An Uncommon Grace, that aired on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel in February, then make plans to join us on Friday for a very special screening,” explains Coni Shepperd, Southern Kentucky Film Commission Marketing Chair and Munfordville Tourism Director.
On March 24, the movie will be shown beginning at 6:30 p.m. at The Way Church (formerly Horse Cave Theatre), located at 118 East Main Street in downtown Horse Cave. “Admission is FREE and doors will open to the public at 6:15 p.m.,” adds Shepperd. “Seating is on a first come, first serve basis, but in addition to the main theatre area, the Church has created two other sections and the movie can be shown in all three areas simultaneously. Several members of the cast will be in attendance, so we hope lots of people will come, and help us welcome them back to Hart County.” Parking is behind the Church and along Main Street.
Prior to the screening, a Meet and Greet Reception will be held at the Way Church from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m. “A donation of $20 is being asked for attendance to the reception, and the proceeds will be used to help the Southern Kentucky Film Commission further its mission of attracting additional film producers to the area,” notes Shepperd. “The reception will include an array of appetizers and desserts, music, plus an opportunity to mingle with some of the cast including actresses Kelly McGillis and Jes Macallan, as well as author Serena Miller, film producer George Shamieh and others. It’s going to be lots of fun!” Miller will have copies of her book and will be available for book signing at the reception and following the movie.
Passes to the reception can be obtained by making a donation online at Eventbrite, or at the Munfordville Welcome Center, Horse Cave City Hall, or Glasgow Chamber of Commerce. A similar event will be held on March 25 at Historic Plaza Theatre located at 115 E. Main Street in downtown Glasgow. The movie will begin at 4 p.m. followed by a Meet and Greet Reception around 6 p.m.. For more information, call (270) 524-4752 or (270) 651-3161.
