Body identified as police continue investigation

Glasgow Police Chief Guy Howie issued a statement at 8:36 p.m. regarding the identity of the body found on a rooftop in downtown Glasgow earlier today. The deceased has been identified as Krystal Mitchell, age 30, of the Austin-Tracy area in southern Barren County. Howie released no further information.
According to Barren County Detention Center records, Mitchell was released from the facility on Monday, April 10 after being arrested on drug-related charges on April 2.

The Glasgow Police Department is investigating the death of a female whose body was discovered on the rooftop of a building in downtown Glasgow. At approximately 8:30 a.m. Monday morning an individual parking in an adjacent parking lot noticed the body on the roof of the Mitchell-Terry Building which fronts on the west side of the pubic square.
Glasgow Police Chief Guy Howie said the body was that of an unidentified white female who appeared to be in her 20s or 30s.
The body was retrieved by emergency personnel and is being transported to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Louisville for an autopsy.
If anyone has any information they are asked to call Crime Stoppers or Captain Arbogast with the Glasgow Police Department.
I find it strange that she was found dead on a Mitchell building and that was also her name.Krystal was a good person with a big heart. She took alot of abuse from the ex boyfriend. I would check him out he even ran over her with his car. She did not deserve to die like this something is not right here and does not need to be swept under the rug no matter how many mistakes the kid made. I am her aunt and I know that something not good has happened here.
Krystal was a free spirit. I knew her well but remained out of contact for some time and have been trying to get in touch with her for years. I remember back when her and her ex bf (nick) were constantly fighting both physical and verbal. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was the one who did this. She wasn’t perfect but didn’t deserve this. Hope justice finds you peace sweetheart. You WILL be missed dearly.
